Town Council Appeals to Government on Limes Land Legal Challenge

4th Dec 2019

Tenterden Town Council’s planning committee received a report at Monday night’s meeting (2 December) that a letter has been sent to the Secretary of State to ensure that an environmental survey is carried out before 250 homes are built at Limes Land, Appledore Road.

The letter will ask the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government to overturn a decision by Ashford Borough Council not to seek an Environmental Impact Assessment.

This is the latest stage in Tenterden Town Council’s commitment to ensure that any developments in the town and St Michaels fully accord with current environmental and planning standards.
