Snowpups are coming to Tenterden!

18th Dec 2017

One of the most unusual arts initiatives will be coming to Tenterden next year - a collection of sculptures inspired by Raymond Briggs' children's classic 'The Snowman and the Snowdog'.

The Town Hall will be the setting for an exhibition of models of Snowdog pups, which will be made by local schools.

Provisional dates for the exhibition are the weekends of 13-15 July and 19-21 October 2018, and local businesses and community groups will be encouraged to sponsor the venture.

The Snowdogs project is based in Ashford, which will be hosting a 10-week residency of giant Snowdog sculptures around the town next Autumn, created by national and local artists.

They will then be auctioned off, with the proceeds going to the Pilgrims Hospices.
