Volunteers Wanted for the Big Tenterden Litter Pick

14th Oct 2018

Tenterden Town Council is staging one of its twice-a-year community litter picks on Sunday (4 November), as part of its programme for maintaining Tenterden's reputation as 'The Jewel in the Weald'.

Volunteers are invited to meet at the Pavilion on the Recreation Ground at 10am, where Council staff will equip them with gloves, bags, grabbers and hi-vis jackets, and those participating can nominate areas to be tidied up.

The litter pick is a community initiative to support Tenterden Town Council's programme of maintaining and tidying the town's Recreation Ground and green verges, while Ashford Borough Council has the responsibility for the High Street and adjacent lanes.
