We are sharing on behalf of the Ashford Community Awards Committee some exciting news. Ashford will be holding a special awards ceremony on 6th October 2025 to celebrate outstanding contributions made across the Borough.
The Committee would be delighted if organisations could support the Ashford Community Awards 2025 by nominating individuals, groups or businesses from Tenterden and the local area who have made a lasting and meaningful impact on our local community. These awards aim to recognise those whose actions have brought real and positive change, whether through volunteering, supporting vulnerable people, protecting the environment, enriching cultural life or strengthening community ties. Their impact may come from a single, powerful initiative or a long-standing commitment that continues to benefit others.
Many of us know someone who gives selflessly to others, offering their time and energy to support their community. These are the individuals who make a meaningful difference and help improve the lives of those around them. The Ashford Community Awards shine a spotlight on these unsung heroes, such as caring neighbours, inspiring young people, dedicated volunteers and community-minded businesses, whose contributions so often go unrecognised.
The Awards reflect Ashford Borough Council’s commitment to people, place and planet. Award categories include:
- Community Champion Award
- Inspiring Young Person of the Year
- Inclusivity Award
- Cultural Impact Award
- Young and Active Award
- Active Community Award
- Community Space Award
- Local Business Champion Award
- Animal Star Award
- Green Award
Below is a flyer which will provide you with more information on each category.
