9th November 2023 update

In preparation for the pre-application meeting with ABC & Vistry Homes on 7th November 2023, two sets of comments were forwarded in advance to all parties for consideration.  These two packs included further comments from the above groups, but also from individual residents.

Pack 1 - comments collated up to 26th October 2023

Pack 2 - comments collated up to 6th November 2023

Pack 3 - additional comments from Mr. Poole 10th November 2023

The Town Council was invited to and has agreed to submit an expression of interest in assuming responsibility for the sports and open space facilities on the development.  A detailed business plan will be drawn up to understand the implications and feasibility of assuming this role, including the resources, knowledge and expertise that would be needed to deliver and run the facilities. Only once this stage is complete will the council be able to decide whether to proceed.

The facilities are subject to contribution of a commuted Maintenance Sum from the developer, as set out in the Section 106 Agreement: Country Park – £583,921.20 and Sports Pitches – £283,050 and Pavilion Building & Car Park– £84,753. It is anticipated that these figures will be subject to an inflationary uplift.
