Council briefed on burglary, car crime and sheep attacks

Tenterden’s PCSO Kate Richards’ monthly report to the Town Council, discussed at Monday night’s meeting (12 July), cites instances of burglary, car crime and sheep attacks.

 

Her July report stated that….

 

  • Two men from London have been remanded in custody following a burglary on in the early hours of Monday, 28 June from a fashion shop in Tenterden High Street. Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident or anyone who has dashcam or CCTV footage to call 01843 222289, quoting reference number 46/111678/21.

 

  • Among cases of car crime being investigated – the theft of a white BMW sport from St Michael’s; a black VW Amarok and a white transit van from the town; and substantial damage to a car in Grange Road.

 

  • Dog owners are reminded to take responsibility of their pets, after a sheep-worrying incident near Tenterden, in which one lamb was badly injured. Police are seeking three men involved in the incident who had a whippet/lurcher and a terrier-type dog.
