Tenterden Town Council seeks a part-time Deputy Town Sergeant at Mace to join our small team at the Town Hall. The role will involve providing cover for the Sergeant at Mace, to ensure the safety and security of the Mayor and their civic regalia when attending functions and in addition, acting as Security Officer at the Town Hall when required.
Hours are part-time and by arrangement, with an hourly rate of £15.00.
Training will be provided for the role of Deputy Town Sergeant; however, in order to undertake security duties a relevant Security Industry Authority licence is essential. Applicants must have access to a smart and reliable vehicle and hold a full, clean driving licence. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with dignitaries, councillors, members of the public and others as the situation dictates, is a requirement of the role.
