Finance Officer, part-time

The Town Council is recruiting for a part-time qualified Finance Officer to join its friendly and welcoming team at the Town Hall.

The Finance Officer is responsible for the maintenance of all accounting records for the council and for the effective administration of its financial affairs.

The post is based principally in the Town Hall, with the opportunity for working from home on arrangement. Some evening and occasional weekend working will be necessary.  

Applicants should be adaptable, organised and have excellent IT and numeracy skills. While experience of local council finances would be an advantage, it is not essential.  Previous experience in a financial role is a requirement.

Salary: SCP 18 – 22, £13,672– £14,720 (pro-rata rates)

Hours: Part-time 0.5 FTE (18.5 hours per week)
