Despite uncertainty about whether lockdown regulations will allow the annual Tenterden Folk Festival to go ahead this October, the Town Council last night (11 May) voted grant funding of £2,500.
It was agreed the grant was justified as the festival was a major part of the town’s cultural programme, and the charity running the event faces cancellation fees and fixed costs if it has to be cancelled.
