Kiln Field Dog Walkers Urged to Clean Up After Their Pets

A plea has gone out to Tenterden dog-owners who walk their pets in Kiln Field – please clean up after your dog.

The town council has earmarked a considerable amount to convert Kiln Field into the town’s first wildlife habitat, supported by Kent Wildlife Trust, as a sustainable and accessible resource for the community.

However, councillors at their meeting on Monday, 10 February heard that dog fouling was undermining the Kiln Field project and becoming an increasing problem, particularly as it will become heavily used by local schoolchildren.

Cllr Kate Walder pointed out that the Borough Dog Warden was empowered to impose on-the-spot fines for those not clearing up after their dogs.
