Tenterden Town Council is delighted to announce the completion of its town map modernisation project.

The design of the physical maps for key noticeboards and tourism information spots in the town centre has been refreshed, along with the introduction of a brand new digital hub, accessed by scanning the QR codes on each map.

The new town maps feature 13 key points of reference, designed to aid both tourists to the area and local residents make the most of Tenterden town. The design is in a fresh and accessible graphic style, paired with a website in the same style to provide users a seamless informational experience.

The accompanying Digital Hub provides a mobile-friendly gateway to Tenterden’s attractions, shops, events, local walking and cycling routes, and the town's blue history plaques - denoting points of historical interest.

The project has been a collaboration between Tenterden Town Council, Tenterden and District Local History Society, with input from Kent branding agency, Oak Creative Design.

The focus has been to strengthen Tenterden’s appeal to visitors from both near and far. The new suite of materials, including new Tenterden Town Guide and Tenterden Heritage Trail leaflets encourages discovery of the town’s charm, heritage, and vibrant business community.

These leaflets are available from the Tenterden Museum and Tourist Information Centre - the Tenterden Gateway.
