New Town Councillor for West Ward Co-opted

Hello,

I have recently been co-opted onto Tenterden Town Council, as Councillor for Rolvenden and Tenterden West Ward, and would like to introduce myself.

I am a married mother of 2 daughters who are 11 and 8 years old, a Qualified Butcher and a proud local of Tenterden. My family have lived here for many Centuries, but have steered clear of elections and rather opted to help the town in a more manual capacity.

My Great Grand Pappy, Harry Brunger, worked in the towns Forge and joined the local Fire Service until Retirement. He also brought back the knowledge from WW1, which brought the town it’s first Wireless Radio.

My Grandfather, Jack Brunger, who served in WW2, also joined the Fire Service until Retirement. He continued to help the town by volunteering to clean the streets, public toilets and monuments. He was recognised by the Town Council for his dedication and was presented with an award by the Mayor.

The love my family and I have for Tenterden has made me want to help in anyway that I can. To not only preserve this beautiful market town, but to see in Progress. Progress that is needed, will keep our high street bustling, without losing sight of what makes our town such a wonderful place to live.

As many of you know, there are plans afoot for the town, some wanted and others with fierce opposition. I am here as a voice, to try and drive forward the residents needs and ease concerns. Please feel free to say hello or message me, I joined the council, as a resident, who felt passionately about some of the changes and challenges the town is facing. Hoping, in some way, that I can use my enthusiasm and energy to keep Tenterden, The Jewel of the Weald, as the town that we know and Love.

Yours  sincerely

Cllr. Mrs. Kayleigh Brunger-Randall
