Tenterden Town Council is to provide the Pavilion as a temporary isolation unit for anyone who presents at Ivy Court Surgery with coronavirus symptoms.
Patients who have screened positive for the virus at Ivy Court will be immediately transferred to the Pavilion before being taken to hospital.
If that happens, there will be no public access to the Pavilion until the current crisis is over, when it will be deep cleaned before re-opening.
The national guidance stresses that if you have travelled to an affected area recently, or have been in close contact with someone who has, and you think you may have symptoms, the advice is to self-isolate at home, avoid public transport and call NHS 111 for the next steps or use the online NHS 111 service at https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19.
