An application by builders Dandara to increase the number of homes on the last phase of its Church View development, including affordable homes, was supported by Tenterden Town Council’s planning committee last night.
Dandara asked to be allowed to build 36 homes in its final phase, an increase of five from the original approved plan, and to increase the number of affordable homes for rent or shared ownership from twelve to fourteen. In addition, all homes will be available under the government’s Help to Buy scheme.
The revised scheme increases the number of two-bed homes, reduces the number of four-bed homes, and no longer includes a five-bed house.
