Tenterden Town Council is to hire a specialist consultancy to identify grant funding for the Recreation Ground development and local youth projects.
Craigmyle Consultants will be hired to research the market for financial support from organisations such as the Lottery Fund, Sport England and the Lawn Tennis Association. Early indications suggest up to £450,000 outside funding could be available.
The council agreed a budget of £6,750 for the project at its meeting on Monday, 9 March.
