We have been in touch with KCC and the two sets of traffic lights currently in St Michaels are for pedestrians, hence why no roads works are being carried out. These lights are in place due to the Silver Hill back path being closed by Southern Water to repair the sewage pipes. Southern Water are being asked to ensure the lights are properly synced so they do not impact on traffic flow as is currently the case. Please also note that Chennell Park Road is not a suitable diversion to avoid congestion as Cranbrook Road is shut due to a water leak.
