One of Tenterden’s most successful community initiatives – the annual litter pick – is to be held on Sunday, 13 June as part of the Great British Spring Clean.
For the first time, pick up points for volunteers will be at both Tenterden and St. Michael’s Recreation Grounds.
Volunteers wishing to sign up for the litter pick should contact the Town Hall on 01580 762271, email townhall@tenterdentowncouncil.gov.uk or just turn up on 13th June at 10am.
All equipment, including bags, gloves and high viz tabards will be provided to volunteers.
At their meeting on 12th April, the Town Council agreed that any Tenterden residents wanting to arrange their own litter pick in the area would be welcome to borrow the Town Council’s equipment, subject to a few safety conditions. Interested parties should contact the Town Council as above.
