Two cameras to track and record wild animal activity are among the latest ideas for Kiln Field, which is being funded by the Town Council as a nature reserve and wildlife habitat for the town.
On Monday, 14 December, the Town Council authorised expenditure of £2,981 on purchasing the trail cameras, as well as 16 alder trees, bat boxes and an extension to the pond-dipping platform.
It is the latest improvement at Kiln Field, which has been created to provide a beautiful, sustainable and accessible natural resource for the whole community.
The Council's maintenance team are working with volunteers on an action plan which has been provided by Kent Wildlife Trust.
